Mobile Car Lockout and Car Key Service in Miami
LICENSED, INSURED AND BONDED

Car key problems tend to happen at the worst possible place: a beach parking lot, a garage downtown or your own driveway when you’re already late. Mr. Locksmith comes to your vehicle, so you don’t need a tow to the dealership for lockouts and many key and ignition problems.
If a child or pet is locked inside the vehicle, call 911 immediately. Temperatures inside a closed car in Miami rise very quickly.
Car Lockouts
Keys locked in the car or trunk? We open vehicles with tools designed to avoid damage to the door, window and weatherstripping. We also open trunks and fuel doors that won’t release. Call (305) 677-8236 and our emergency locksmith service will dispatch the nearest available locksmith.
Car Key Duplication
A spare key is far cheaper than an emergency call. We cut duplicate keys for many vehicles, and if your key has a chip, we program the copy so it starts the car rather than only opening the door.
Transponder Key Programming
Most cars built in the last two decades use a transponder chip in the key head. The car’s immobilizer must recognize that chip before the engine will run. We program transponder keys to your vehicle on site for many makes and models; give us the year, make and model when you call so we can confirm.
Remote Key Fob Replacement
Fobs get dropped, soaked and lost. We replace remote key fobs and program them to lock and unlock your vehicle. If your fob only works intermittently, the battery or a worn button may be the cause, and we’ll check before recommending a replacement.
Ignition Repair and Stuck Key Extraction
A key that won’t turn, sticks in the ignition or breaks off inside it needs careful handling. We extract stuck or broken keys and repair ignition cylinders so you can start the car normally again.
Motorcycle Keys
We also help riders with lockouts and replacement keys for many motorcycles and scooters.
Rental Cars and Visitors to Miami
If you are driving a rental and lose the key or lock it inside, contact your rental company first; many have specific rules about who may open or rekey their vehicles. If they authorize a local locksmith, we can help with the lockout.
What to Have Ready When You Call
- Your vehicle’s year, make and model.
- Your location, including a parking level or space number if you’re in a garage.
- Proof of ownership, such as registration or title, plus a photo ID. If they are locked inside the car, we can check them after opening it.
Automotive Locksmith FAQs
Do I need to tow my car to the dealer for a new key?
Often not. We cut and program keys for many vehicles at your location. Some newer or luxury models have dealer-only requirements; we will tell you upfront if yours is one of them.
What is the difference between a transponder key and a key fob?
A transponder key has a chip that lets the engine start. A key fob is the remote that locks and unlocks the doors. Many modern keys combine both, and each part may need to be programmed.
My key turns in the door but not the ignition. What’s wrong?
The ignition cylinder may be worn, or the key itself may be worn down. We inspect both and either cut a fresh key or repair the ignition.
Can you open my car without damaging it?
In most lockouts, yes. We use purpose-made automotive entry tools rather than prying the door or breaking a window.
We also provide residential locksmith services and commercial locksmith services.
